Browser-based utilities for steel profiles, CNC files, DXF drawings, and IFC model review. Files are processed in this browser; model detail and export options depend on the source file.
Technical tools.
Use the embedded AISC shape database and the original SMY3 browser file viewer. Files are processed locally in your browser; they are not uploaded.
AISC Shape Explorer
Search AISC Shapes Database v15.0 section data. Select a family or search for a designation to see a scaled cross-section, section properties, and a material-weight estimate.
Section properties
Source: AISC Shapes Database v15.0, US customary units. Verify against the current AISC Steel Construction Manual and approved project data before design or fabrication use. Weight estimates use nominal lb/ft × length × quantity.
CNC and CAD File Viewer
Load DXF, DSTV NC1, G-code, STEP, KSS, XML, or another text-based file. DXF and NC1 geometry, G-code toolpaths, and STEP wireframe edges can be previewed when supported by the source file.
2D: DXF (lines, arcs, circles, polylines, text), DSTV NC1 (holes, contours, marking), and G-code toolpaths. 3D: STEP wireframe from B-rep edges or point cloud. Curved edges are approximated as chords. KSS, XML, EJE and other text formats open in the text panel. Proprietary binary formats such as DWG show a limited hex preview. File size limit: 80 MB.
IFC Model Viewer
Open and inspect IFC models directly in your browser. Orbit, section, select members, review properties and classes, and export a profile-based takeoff. Files are read locally in your browser.
